This statement explains how studiorolie uses personal data when you visit this website.
Who we are

What we collect
When you open the site, our hosting provider and our content network receive technical data needed to deliver the page: your IP address, browser and device type, the page you request, the date and time, and the address of the page that referred you.
We store a few preferences on your device:
- Your language, English or Dutch. On a first visit we also read your browser’s language setting to choose one of those two languages.
- Your colour theme.
- Your cookie choice (necessary, analytics, and marketing) and the time you saved it.
If you email us, call us, or send a message through a form on the site, we receive the details you give us. That can include your name, email address, phone number, company name, and your message. Form messages are passed through Web3Forms and delivered to our inbox.
When Google Analytics 4 is switched on, Google also receives usage data: the pages you view, page titles, and technical details used to recognise a browser. Google can derive an approximate location from the IP address.
The site has no accounts. We do not sell personal data.
Why we use it
We use technical data and on-device preferences to show the site, keep it secure, and remember your language, theme, and cookie choice. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running the site. Storage that is strictly necessary for that is used without a separate consent tick.
We use contact details to answer enquiries and to prepare a proposal. The legal basis is the steps you ask us to take before a contract, and our legitimate interest in replying to you.
We use Google Analytics, when it is enabled, to understand which pages are used. The legal basis is your consent, given in the cookie notice. You can refuse analytics there. You can withdraw that consent later by clearing this site’s saved data in your browser, which shows the notice again.
Cookies and storage on your device
Necessary:
- site-locale, a cookie kept for 12 months, and the same key in local storage. This stores English or Dutch.
- theme in local storage. This stores your colour theme until you clear site data.
- cookie-consent and cookie-settings in local storage. These store your cookie choice.
Analytics, only while Google Analytics is enabled:
- Cookies set by Google, such as _ga and _ga_ followed by our measurement ID. _ga can remain for up to 24 months. Google describes its own use of that data at https://policies.google.com/privacy (https://policies.google.com/privacy)
Marketing:
- The cookie notice can store a marketing preference. The site does not load advertising pixels or social tracking plugins. The Instagram link in the footer is an ordinary link.
Who receives data
- Our hosting provider, to serve the site and keep security logs.
- Sanity (sanity.io), whose network delivers the page content, images, and video. A request to that network includes your IP address and browser data.
- Google, when Google Analytics is enabled.
- Web3Forms, when you submit a form that uses our contact endpoint.
- Our email and phone providers, when you write or call.
- Public authorities, when the law requires us to share data.
Transfers abroad
Some of these providers process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where they do, the transfer rests on the provider’s safeguards, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses, or on an adequacy decision where one applies.
How long we keep it
The language cookie lasts 12 months, or until you change or delete it. The theme and cookie choice stay until you clear them in your browser.
We keep enquiry emails and form messages for as long as we need them to handle your request and any follow-up. We keep them longer only where we have to, for example for a contract or a legal claim.
Server logs are kept for the period set by our hosting provider. Google Analytics data is kept for the period set in our analytics property. We keep that period no longer than 14 months unless we update this statement.
Your rights
You can ask us for access to your personal data, for a correction, or for deletion. You can ask us to restrict processing or to object to it, and you can ask for a copy of data you provided in a portable format. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Withdrawal does not undo processing that already took place.
Write to Contact@studiorolie.com (mailto:Contact@studiorolie.com). We may ask you to confirm that the request comes from you.
You can also complain to the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl. Where Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act applies, you can contact the Personal Data Protection Commission, pdpc.gov.sg.
Children
The site is meant for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes
We update this page when our practices change. The date above is the date of the current version.
